In Pre-school the children can wear their own clothes. Please ensure these clothes are suitable and not their best clothes as they have daily access to the outdoor area and complete lots of craft and messy activities. Despite wearing all in one wet suits and aprons on occasions clothes have got dirty.

Please provide:

A waterproof/ warm coat

Hat, scarf and gloves when the weather is cold

Wellies when the weather is wet

    and       

In Nursery and Reception the children are expected to wear and follow the school uniform policy.

We ask that the children are dressed in our school uniform of:

• White or red polo shirt
• Grey trousers/ skirt/ pinafore dress
• Red sweatshirt / cardigan with or without the school logo on

• Sensible black shoes

Please ensure all clothes are labelled including their shoes. 

For PE the children need:

• Plain black shorts
• Plain black pumps

All children will receive a Beacon P.E t-shirt in their House colour when they join Beacon Primary. If your child loses the Beacon t-shirt you can buy a new one from the school website.

We changed supplier to ensure that we have a cost effective, smart uniform that is a representation of the high standards we uphold.

Uniform is an important part of a school’s identity. It reinforces who we are as a community and helps allow children to feel pride in their school. It also ensures that children are not put under any pressure because of the type of clothes they wear and all are treated equally.

The biggest change we will be making to the uniform is a change from round neck to V neck sweatshirts.  We are also introducing shirts and ties as part of the compulsory new uniform.   Girls will have an option to wear a cardigan. 

Uniform can now be bought online from our supplier Crested School Wear.  Please see the link below.   You will be able to purchase online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with delivery direct to your home address giving you complete flexibility.  We will only hold a small amount of stock in school so we strongly encourage parents to purchase in advance online.

As a special treat every child at Beacon can wear their own clothes on their birthday. If their birthday falls on the weekend they can wear their own clothes on either Friday or Monday.
