Beacon Primary School

Lighting the way to a brighter future

General information

General Information

School times

School starts at 8:45am and ends at 3:20pm, we will be on the playground from 8:45am and you will have until 9:00am to bring your children in. Please try hard to get your child to school on time and to collect them promptly as we can't mix with other year group bubbles. If your child is late, it is extremely important that you come in via the breakfast club entrance so staff know your child has arrived.

If your child is absent please ring the school office in the morning to let us know the reason. The school telephone number is 01922 710874.

Play times and Dinner time

During lunch time children can chose to have a packed lunch from home or a school dinner in the dinner hall.  Please remember that ‘Universal Free School Meals’ stop at the end of Year 2. If you are eligible for ‘Free School Meals’ please ensure you complete a ‘Free School Meal’ application form (available from the school office). In readiness for September, please complete these as soon as possible. If you have to pay for your child’s school meals, please ensure payment is made in advance, preferably on a Monday, via the kitchen. This will help the kitchen be prepared for how many meals to cook.

At the start of dinner your child will get the chance to play on the playground with their friends on the KS1 playground. After this they will then proceed to the dinner hall where they will have their dinner.

During the morning playtime the children can buy a slice of toast for 20p. Toast is limited to one per child and the children are responsible for their own money. Please try to send in the correct change.

Water bottles: All children are provided with a Beacon water bottle which they can access throughout the day and refill with fresh drinking water.
