Uniform expectations for Pre-school

The children within the Preschool room (2 year olds) can come to school in their own clothes. Please ensure these are suitable and appropriate for messy play.

Uniform expectations for all children from Nursery to Year 6

• White long or short sleeved shirt (Pupils in Early Years/year 1 can wear a white polo shirt)
• Grey or black trousers/ skirt/ pinafore dress
• Red v neck sweatshirt / cardigan (This does not have to have the Beacon logo)
• Red and white checked summer dress
• Sensible black shoes
• Tie (KS1 and KS2) See below.

The above uniform can be purchased from any retailer e.g. Asda, Tesco, Morisons, Sainsburys , etc...

Birthday Treat

As a special treat on their birthday the children can come to school in their own clothes.

PE Kit

For PE the children need:

• A ‘Beacon’ t-shirt in their house colour

 (Red, Blue, Green or Yellow)

All children will receive a Beacon P.E t-shirt in their house colour when they join Beacon in Reception. 

• A pair of pumps or trainers
• Black shorts

During the winter months the children can wear a pair of black jogging bottoms and a black jumper/ hoodie over their PE kit. These can be left in school in their PE bag.

We also sell the PE t-shirts from the school office if one needs replacing or you can purchase them from Crested School wear ( see details below)

OUR SCHOOL UNIFORM SUPPLIER

If you choose too, you can purchase Beacon branded uniform from Crested School Wear, Walsall. However children do not have to wear clothing with the Beacon logo.

We chose Crested School wear as a supplier as they provide a cost effective, smart uniform that is a representation of the high standards we uphold.

Uniform is an important part of a school’s identity. It reinforces who we are as a community and helps allow children to feel pride in their school. It also ensures that children are not put under any pressure because of the type of clothes they wear and all are treated equally.

In 2020 we changed our school uniform. The biggest change we made was moving from a round neck to V neck sweatshirt.  We also introduced shirts and ties as part of the compulsory uniform.   Girls will have an option to wear a cardigan. 

Uniform can be bought online from our supplier Crested School Wear.  Please see the link below.   You will be able to purchase online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with delivery direct to your home address giving you complete flexibility.  We will only hold a small amount of stock in school so we strongly encourage parents to purchase in advance online.

Preloved Uniform

If any parents/carers do have difficulties Beacon Primary have a Pre-loved Uniform service where donated uniform is given out to parents in need. If parents/carers need support with uniform they can email postbox@bea.lighthousefederation.com or speak to any member of the senior leadership team.
