Year 5 Homework Expectations

Weekly the children will receive:

• Home reader- a book to read at least 4 times a week. Parents to sign and complete reading log. Children are expected to change their home reader a minimum of once a week. 
• 10 Spellings- A spelling list will be provided each week and tested on the following week. Handwriting is part of this, as the children have to Look, Say, Cover and write the words.
• Times tables practise- all times tables
• Maths Homework.
• Comprehension Homework. This will be pre teaching a concept the children will be learning in school the following week so they have some knowledge and understanding of the new concept/topic.
