Home learning
Home Learning projects
Parents are the primary teacher in a child's life, influencing their thoughts, feelings and experiences in the world. Research shows that if parents support and encourage their child's learning at home it will have a positive effect on their development.
In Early Years we understand ‘homework’ can be daunting for a child, therefore we have created some short home learning projects which will be given out weekly to support your child’s learning at home.
These activities cover all the 7 areas of the Early Years curriculum and build upon the skills the children need to become successful in their learning.
The 7 areas of learning are:
CLL- Communication, Language and Literacy
PD- Physical Development
PSED- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
L- Literacy
MD- Mathematical Development
ExA- Expressive Arts and Design
UW- Understanding the world
These activities are fun and easy to do. Each week a home learning sheet will be sent out, please complete this activity with your child and return the sheet completed to school so they can be added into your child’s learning journey.
